Virgina Kathleen "Sis, Mickey" (Byrne) Bastulli

Virginia Kathleen “Sis, Mickey” (Byrne) Bastulli, 85 of Madison, passed away on October 27, 2022, at her home in Madison. She was born on January 13, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio. Virginia loved her family, always putting everyone before herself. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were all the “apple of her eye”. She loved John Wayne movies and had seen all of his movies many times. She loved cooking and baking for her family, being especially proud of her famous goulash and cinnamon rolls, which were the best on the planet. She was partial to her cats, Mouser, Mickey & Lady Sara and they adored her. Ask her what her favorite drink was and she’d say, “I’ll have me a scotch and water on the rocks”. She enjoyed collecting Annalee mice, which she displayed proudly for the holidays. For most of her adult life, she worked as a seamstress for Fisher Body, a division of General Motors Corp. Survivors include her children, Kathleen V. (Mark) Stout and John B. (Jackie) Taylor IV; grandchildren, Stacey (George) Bosley, Melissa (Nick) Nowak, Stephen (Macie) Caruso-Taylor, Daniel (Pita) Caruso-Taylor, Samantha (Dominic) Caruso-Taylor, Briana (Tucker) Caruso-Taylor, Shawn Caruso-Taylor and Dallas Stout; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor, Lisa, Sophia, Jacob, Riley, Grayson, Braylen, Sylas, Mia and Salvatore; brothers, Richard (Betty) Welsh and James (Eileen) Byrne; sister, Colleen Byrne; nieces and nephews; and her kitty, Mouser. Preceding Virginia in death are her husband, Anthony J. “Chick” Bastulli; ex-husband, John B. “Jack” Taylor III; father, Daniel L. Byrne Jr.; mother, Florence Needham; sisters, Marianne Wasdell and Patricia Chapman; brothers, Jimmy Davison and Tommy Wasdell; Aunt, Virginia M. “Mickey” Byrne Berry and dear friend, Barbara Nichols. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, Ohio 44060. A funeral mass will be at Saint Casimir Parish, 18022 Neff Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44119 at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2022. Please meet at the church.
