William H. "Bill" Krug

William H. “Bill” Krug, age 87 of Concord Twp., OH, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2024 at his home. He was born in Spangler, PA. After moving to Cleveland, Bill worked for General Electric, served in the Navy on the USS Zellars DD-777, worked for Ostendorf-Morris and then 35 years for Lubrizol (Painesville Twp.) before retiring. He was devoted to and very much loved by his family and friends. If you had a project or needed something repaired, you asked Bill – there wasn’t much he didn’t know how to do or wasn’t willing to try! Over the years, he enjoyed golf, woodworking, gardening, cooking, fishing, and camping. Bill & Dorothy traveled the world with family and friends--they also met exceptional people along the way that they still keep in touch with. Wanting to learn how to fly, Bill took lessons and obtained his private pilot’s license in 1992. He had a great sense of humor! Over the last several years, he was assisted by a number of dedicated caregivers, doctors, and nurses. He truly appreciated all that they did! He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Dorothy; children, Leslie (Roman) Poliszczuk, William (Theresa) Krug, and Vickie (Danny) Miller; grandchildren, Aaron (Lola) Miller, Danielle (Travis) Dailey, Therese (Garrison) Holmes, and Katlyn (fiancé, Jonathon) Poliszczuk; great-grandchildren, Brock and Wrenna and Lucy Dailey, Beckham Holmes and Lorenzo Miller; siblings, Emaline (Bob) Weimer, Doris Presley, Jane (Ken) Stoltz, Carole (Barry) Barrett, Peggy Dick (Geno), Linda (Tony) Lapso, Rick (Gwen) Krug, Brenda (Ed) Kelly; sister-in-law, Janet Krug; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and LaRue Krug; brother, Edward; sister, Janet (Arnold) McNulty; and great-granddaughter, Libby Dailey. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Menor Ave., Painesville, OH 44077. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. on Saturday May 25, 2024 at the church. A private interment will be in Concord Twp. Cemetery.
