William R. "Bill" Fox

William R. “Bill” Fox, 64 of Painesville, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at UH Tri-Point Medical Center, Concord Twp. He was born July 30, 1961, in Portsmouth, OH. Bill was a loving uncle who found joy in watching his nieces and nephews grow and flourish throughout their lives. He took pride in becoming a great-uncle, and receiving updates and pictures of his great-niece and nephews brought him lots of happiness. Bill was also a well-loved member of the community at North Mentor Centenary United Methodist Church, where he faithfully dedicated his time in service to others. He found his purpose in volunteering through the church’s charitable and community outreach programs. He especially enjoyed helping with the live nativity and working with the puppeteers. His kindness, generosity, and heart touched many lives and reflected the compassion and warmth he carried throughout his life. In the final years of his life, Bill faced many health challenges with strength and determination, never allowing them to diminish his spirit. His family lovingly referred to him as a “phoenix”, admiring his resilience and his ability to rise above every obstacle with courage and grace. Survivors include his siblings: Crystal Pearce, Lisa (James) Brandt, Karen Fox, Lawrence “Larry” Fox II, and David Fox; nieces & nephews: Laura (Tyler Saenz) Pearce, Emily (Luke Daher) Pearce, Steven Pearce, Eric and Jacob Brandt, Sara Morse, Cameron and Kira Fox and great-nieces & nephews: Anthony, Roman, Remington and Nia. Preceding Bill in death are his parents, Lawrence Gordon and Shelby Jean Fox and infant sister, Sheila Jo Fox. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held July 25th, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with a luncheon immediately following at North Mentor Centenary United Methodist Church, 9290 Lake Shore Blvd, Mentor, OH 44060. A private family inurnment will take place in Memorial Burial Park, Wheelersburg, OH.
