Chad Marsalko

Chad Marsalko, 32, of Mentor, died July 23, 2022 at his home. He was born December 23, 1989 in Mayfield Hts. Chad loved nature, people, animals and the outdoors. His family & friends were truly the most important thing to him. Chad was a very outgoing, friendly and positive person. He had a deep love for music. From classic rock like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, to the guitar shredding Buckethead. He especially loved to see live performances of any genre. Chad was always one to live life & explore, from riding his dirt bike, to driving his Camaro, to hiking the next trail & seeing the beauty life has to offer. Chad always wanted his loved ones right next to him, to experience the gifts of life and share in memories with him. He had a profound love for photography, capturing everything he saw and allowing him to share stories of his adventures with those who could not be with him. Anyone lucky enough to have known him, would consider him a special family member and a one-of-a-kind friend. Unique in the best ways, always loving and caring for those closest to him. Survivors include his father, Phillip Marsalko; maternal grandparents William and Anna Mossburg; aunts and uncles, Terri (John) Williamson, Dee (Marlin) Minor, Lou (Diane) Marsalko, Cathy (Brad) Smith, Mary Lou (Tom) Giles, and Paul (Tina) Marsalko, Donna (Jack) Opalenik, William (Kathy) Mossburg and Susan (Paul) Mossburg; cousins, Kristy Letzo, JJ Williamson, Jason Minor, Aaron Minor, Amanda Feldner, Nicole Custer, Lee Marsalko, Justin Smith, Ashley Smith, Matt Giles, Scott Giles, Logan Marsalko, Chase Marsalko, Coriana Mossburg, Nicolas Mossburg and John Opalenik; and his great aunts, Louise Wartko, Erma Potchak, and Patricia Sfero. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia (Mossburg) Marsalko and paternal grandparents Louis and Mary Marsalko. The family will receive friends to celebrate Chad’s life from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2022 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral mass in his honor will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2022 at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor, OH 44060 (Please meet at the church.)
