Frederick T. "Fred" Ebeling

Frederick T. “Fred” Ebeling, age 87 of Mentor, passed away Monday April 4, 2022 at UH Tri-Point Medical Center, Concord Twp., OH. He was born January 4, 1935 in Willoughby, OH. Mr. Ebeling graduated from Kirtland High School where he was a three sport varsity letter-earner. He retired from the US Postal Service, where he was a Mail Carrier, working out of the Mentor branch for 35 years, and acted as Union President for many years. Fred loved the Lord. He was a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and led many souls to the Lord. He was a nationally recognized rabbit breeder and shower. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan, he loved baseball which led him to umpire at high school and college level. He loved high school wrestling and especially watching his sons' matches. He could often be found playing Texas Hold' em online or reading Westerns. Survivors include his wife of 66 years: Elaine (Robertson) Ebeling; children: Marcia (Randy) Hayward, Michelle Ebeling, Michael Ebeling, Matthew (Fiancee: Julie Tylicki) Ebeling and Mark (Michelle) Ebeling; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Preceding Fred in death are his parents: Herbert and Delena Ebeling and sisters: Jackie and Marcia. A graveside service will be 11:00 am Monday, April 11, 2022 at Mentor Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Rd., Mentor, OH. Please meet in Section 34.
