George Wm. "Bill" Grisdale III

George Wm. “Bill” Grisdale, III, 79, of Thompson Twp., OH, passed away at 2:38 a.m. June 29, 2016, at Seidman Cancer Center, University Hospital, Cleveland, OH. Mr. Grisdale was born Feb. 04, 1937, in Bound Brook, NJ, to George & Lucile Peters Grisdale. Bill attended Euclid schools with the class of 1955 & retired from Pipefitters Local 120 as a steamfitter/pipefitter. He was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church, Mentor, OH, & also a member of the following organizations: The Sons of the American Revolution, Samuel Huntington Lodge; Masonic East Gate Lodge, Lyndhurst, OH; Lake and Geauga County Scottish Rite Society; Order of the Eastern Star, Willoughby Chapter #202; the NRA and he held an amateur radio license, call W8GWG (former call WD8CFK). His many interests included model trains & family genealogy. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Patricia A. Moore Grisdale; children, Guy W. Grisdale & wife Deborah, of Fort Worth, TX; Gayle J. Zarack & husband Thomas, of Concord Twp., OH; Gary R. Grisdale & wife Kyung Jin, of Bowie, MD; Glenn T. Grisdale (Kelli Barg) of Bowling Green, OH; step daughter, Elizabeth A. Lyden of Thompson Twp., OH and step daughter-in-law Teresa A. Lyden of Concord Twp., OH; eleven grandchildren, Heather (Adam) Maimone; Jamie Grisdale; Guy Grisdale; Joshua (Melissa) Grisdale; Matthew (Erin) Grisdale; Julie (Mike) Khabibulin; Thomas (Stephanie) Zarack; Emily Zarack; George & Gary Grisdale; Emma Grisdale; four step grandchildren, Wyatt Epp; Meghan Katherine & Kyle Lyden; seven great grandchildren, Katelyn & Kyrsten Maimone; Brianne & Mallory Priest; Ava Grisdale; Jackson Zarack; James Grisdale; brother, Robert K. Grisdale of Willoughby Hills, OH; sister-in law, Mary E. Bell & husband Jesse N. of Willowick, OH. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean L. Hull Grisdale, whom he married in 1958 (she died in 1986); step son, Jeffrey E. Lyden; sister-in-law, Patricia M. Grisdale; sister-in-law, Bonnie L. Barker and brother-in-law, Lloyd L. Barker. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 noon Saturday July 16, 2016 at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 7989 Little Mountain Rd., Mentor. A memorial service will begin at 12 noon at Saturday at the church.
