Gerrie Muraco (nee: Blazek)

Gerrie Muraco (nee: Blazek), age 85, a longtime resident of Kirtland, OH, passed away on February 16, 2022 at her residence. She was born September 23, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio. Gerrie was a member of Divine Word Catholic Church. She loved traveling, going to the casinos and dancing. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Kathleen Kotlar, Michael (Donna) Muraco, Teresa (Robert) Bregar, Patricia (Douglas) Sandacz and Jacqueline (Brian) Morganti; grandchildren, Christopher (Zoe), Angela (Jason), Matthew (Emily), Jeffrey (Amanda), Maria, Paul (Marion), Jennifer (Jim), Michelle (Brandon), Nicholas (Kristen), Kelly (Greg), Christine (Dima), Leah and Katelyn; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and other loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband, George; granddaughter, Susan Debene; son-in-law, Joseph Kotlar; parents, Joseph and Nellie Blazek; and sisters, Regina Blazek and Carolyn Petkovich. A funeral mass will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Rd., Kirtland, OH 44094. The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, OH.
