Kristina “Kris” (Kusmin) Urankar

Kristina “Kris” (Kusmin) Urankar age 68 of Mentor, passed away Sunday September 13, 2020 at Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights, OH. She was born September 10, 1952 in Uniontown, PA Mrs. Urankar was a homemaker, raising her two sons and taking care of her loving husband. She also worked at Tri-Delta and the OfficeMax Call Center in Mentor, Ohio until the closing of the facility. Kris was a devoted member of St. John Vianney Catholic Parish where she was a Lector and a PSR Teacher. She also enjoyed traveling around the world with her husband along with doing winery tours with her husband and friends. In the last four-years she loved to talk about and spend time with her granddaughter, Lucille Rose. Family was the top of Kristina’s list no matter what the subject was. Kris is survived by her husband of 46 years: Frank A. Urankar, sons: Frank A. (Melissa) Urankar II and Jason Urankar, granddaughter: Lucille Rose Urankar, father: Leonid “Leo” Kusmin, brothers: Alex (Amy) Kusmin and Thomas (Gina) Kusmin, and cats: Toby & Bebe. Preceding Kristina in death is her mother: Marie Kusmin. The family will receive friends 3-7 pm Friday September 18, 2020 at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave. Mentor. Masks are required and social distancing is encouraged during all publicly attended events. A funeral mass will be 9:30 am Saturday September 19, 2020 at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd.
