Anne Felice Kline

Anne Felice Kline, 66, of Mentor, passed away on March 31, 2026, at Hillcrest Hospital. She was born on January 23, 1960, in Mentor, to the late Nancy Felice. Anne was happily married for 43 years. She was employed as a secretary to the Willoughby Hills Police Chief for 19 years. She taught at the Parish School of Religion and was on the confirmation team at St. Bede Church. Anne realized that she had a passion for teaching and went back to college to obtain her teaching degree. She taught at Horizon Science Academy and was an inspiration to her students. They knew that Anne truly cared about them and wanted them to be successful in life. Anne was held in high esteem by fellow teachers and administrators and was a mentor for many new teachers. Anne retired after teaching for 15 years but did not slow down. She was the founder of Little Annie’s Hope Train, a charity dedicated to helping the homeless. Anne was out in the streets on a regular basis providing snack kits, hygiene kits, bagged lunches, socks, hats, gloves, and many other items that the homeless needed. Her charity worked with many civic organizations and schools having packing events- assembling various kits to distribute. Her charity maintained over 30 free standing food pantries keeping them stocked for anyone in need, provided laundromat vouchers, and worked with other organizations to provide temporary housing for the homeless. The charity had outstanding board members and volunteers who assisted her with the various programs. Anne was a huge baseball fan and loved the Cleveland Indians. When traveling, she always made sure that some facet of baseball was involved. Anne attended many major and minor league games throughout the Midwest and South. In recent years, you could find Anne at Miracle League Park. She was a play-by-play announcer introducing players and providing commentary. Anne was a cancer warrior and successfully beat cancer for over 10 years. In recent years, the cancer reappeared. While undergoing hours long infusions and thinking of others, Anne decided to provide chemo kits to other cancer patients. The kits contained notebooks and pens to record a journal, crossword puzzles, word books, notes of inspiration, herbal tea and many other items. Anne distributed these kits to local hospitals. Anne had many friends and made a difference in the lives of everyone she met. She will be sorely missed. Anne is survived by her loving husband, David; siblings, Fran (Terry), Jenny (Tim), Giselle (Mike), Mary (Jim) and Jon; and her beloved fur baby, Snoopy. In addition to her mother, Anne is preceded in death by her brother, Mike.
