Constance "Connie" Brandenburg-Schultz

Constance “Connie” Brandenburg-Schultz, 98, of Mentor, Ohio passed away December 6, 2025 at Governor’s Pointe Assisted Living, Mentor. She was born March 10, 1927 in Passaic, NJ to the late Hastings and Constance Pratt. Connie moved to Oahu, Hawaii when she was three. She attended Punahou School in Honolulu until Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7th, 1941. The family was evacuated and returned to New Jersey where she went on to attend Fairleigh Dickinson University. She met and married Henry Lee Brandenburg, moved to Michigan and had 6 children. The family ultimately settled in Mentor, Ohio where she raised her kids. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Connie would say that she was warm, friendly and full of life. Connie enjoyed a varied career, working well into her 70’s, and eventually retiring from Preformed Line Products. After retiring, she met her husband William “Bill” Schultz, and they found great contentment together until his death 15 years ago. Bill and his 3 adult children were warmly welcomed into Connie’s family. Connie enjoyed volunteering at St. Andrews Church and Penitentiary Glen. Her passions included her family, swimming and aqua-aerobics, caring for her pets, reading, crossword puzzles and having fun. She always had a pile of crossword puzzles right next to her for easy access, as well as stacks of library books. Connie will be missed by her children, Sherry Brandenburg-Bent, Henry Lance Brandenburg, Kim (Jane) Brandenburg, Kit (Karla) Brandenburg, Kevin (Marcia) Brandenburg and Heidi (John) Ihlenfield; 21 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Judd Pratt; sister-in-law, Donna Pratt and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. Preceding Connie in death are her husband, William “Bill” Schultz; former spouse, Henry Lee Brandenburg; brother, Lewellyn Pratt and sister, Patsy Pratt. A Celebration of Connie’s life will be held in early spring for all those who knew and loved her.
