Donna L. Wiatrowski

Donna L. Wiatrowski (nee Curtis), 68, of Mentor, died February 23, 2017 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp. with her loving daughters by her side. She was born May 14, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio. Donna attended St. Joseph (Coll.) Elementary, Ursuline Academy of the Sacred Heart High School and Ursuline College. She went on to teach first grade at St. Vitus School in Cleveland. In 1970 she married Paul and together they would have celebrated 47 years of marriage this May. After having children Donna remained at home as a homemaker, wife, and devoted and loving mother. Donna was a phenomenal cook that loved to entertain for her family and friends. She enjoyed her frequent trips to area casinos, completing her crossword puzzles and a good Bloody Mary. Donna loved animals, especially her dogs. Family time was extremely important to her, but what made her the most happy was her grandchildren. Becoming a grandma was the greatest role she took on – and what an amazing grandma she was. Donna never met a stranger and had a loving, giving heart. Every person’s life she entered she made better simply by being a part of it. Surviving Donna is her husband, Paul; daughters, Natalie (Matthew) Urbas and Adrienne (Ryan) Fox; grandchildren, Allison, Paul, Samantha, Madilynn and Talia; and her sister Linda (Timothy) Curtis Skoh. Donna also leaves behind her beloved dog, Zak. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Thelma Curtis. Natalie and Adrienne would like to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at TriPoint Medical Center for taking such amazing care of their mom every time she was in their wonderful care. A memorial service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday March 4, 2017 at Divine Word Church, 8100 Eagle Rd., Kirtland, OH 44094. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
