Jack Luck

Jack Luck, 82, of Kirtland, passed away March 31, 2026 at Chardon Woods. He was born March 9, 1944 in Cleveland, to the late Jack and Virginia Luck. Jack was a 32nd Degree Master Mason and Worshipful Master of Willougby Lodge #302. He served on the Planning and Zoning Commission for Kirtland and was a member of the Kirtland Athletic Boosters and the Kirtland Horseman’s Association. He was also a youth coach in the Kirtland Baseball League. He completed 7 marathons, including the Boston marathon. His personal best time was 3 hours and 1 minute. He also completed two Bike Florida rides with his wife, Patricia, and one Bike Across Kansas ride with his son, Jeff. He and Patricia were married for 59 years. Together they enjoyed dancing at the old Painesville Twp. Park and loved traveling to Ft. Myers, Florida with their best friends, Dave and Vicki. Jack absolutely cherished his grandchildren. Survivors include his sons, Matt (Laura Tyler) Luck and Jeff (Jae) Luck; grandchildren, Carolyn (David) Fink, Michala Luck, Jonathan Luck, Jackson Luck, Caitlin (Alex) DiFranco and Jennifer Luck; great granddaughter, Scottie Louise; sister, Beth Weidig and longtime friends, Dave and Vicki Craig. Preceding Jack in death are his wife, Patricia Luck; brother, Robert Luck and sister, Carol (Don) Brennan. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2026 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio 44060. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the funeral home, where all are encouraged to wear their golf or Masters attire. A private family burial will take place in Kirtland South Cemetery at a later date.
