Kathryn Lucille Morgan

Kathryn Lucille Morgan, 92, of Ashtabula, passed away July 28, 2024 at home. She was born November 7, 1931 in Euclid, Ohio to the late Melvin and Lucille Maloney. “Our Blessed Mom” Mom loved life! Mom loved her faith in God, her husband, Bill (our dad) and their 12 children. In addition, she loved the ever expanding family tree that continued to grow over many, many years. After mom and dad retired and moved to Florida, mom loved walking on the beach and keeping active! She had a great love of travel! Our parents enjoyed many years of traveling together and with friends on quite a few “once in a lifetime trips”! Mom and dad also took many “road trips” together from SWFL to Ohio to visit their family over the years. We know their trips to visit family were their favorites! Our mother was “Pure of Heart”. Mom was a very smart woman. She was full of kindness towards others and was an amazingly patient and loving woman and mom. She made her children always feel secure, happy and loved! Mom taught all her children about God and about life along the way. Mom always talked about her love of her country too. She was a very patriotic woman, who was proud of herself and her patriotism. This is all reflected in our mom’s devotion to God, Family and Country. She always had a great sense of humor too, and loved to laugh! Our mother could have followed any career path, being the smart woman she was. She had a beautiful singing voice. We loved to hear her as she did her constant cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc. She truly enjoyed music and would play it and sing often! This was among only one of her many talents. Her love got our dad and their commitment to each other through marriage. It led our beautiful mother on the career path of love and devotion to her family, being an absolutely wonderful wife to our beloved father and a super great homemaker for our family. Our dear mom, the best, forever. We will all miss you and love you in our hearts forever. We have a lifetime of priceless memories with you, Mom. Please be with God and Dad, Ronnie and all our family who are greeting you in Heaven, in peace and love like no other. Love you, from all of us. Survivors include her children, Christine Carran, William (Ruby) Morgan, Catherine (Mark) Richarz, Michael (Pam) Morgan, Cheryl (Rene) Velez, Cynthia (Rusty) Chervin, Kenneth (Denise) Morgan, Colleen (Frank) Haller, Carolyn Good, Thomas (Kathy) Morgan and Donald (Chris) Morgan; 24 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Michael Maloney and Daniel (Lyn) Maloney; feline companions, Lydia and Little Bit and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. Preceding Kathryn in death are her husband, William “Bill” D. Morgan; son, Ronald Morgan; brother, Patrick Maloney; sister-in-law, Kathy Maloney and nephews, Kevin Maloney and Christopher Maloney. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor, Ohio 44060.
