Lori A. Kelleher

Lori A. Kelleher, 62, of Mentor, died June 6, 2026, at University Hospital in Cleveland. She was born June 3, 1964, in Euclid. This May was a month filled with joy for Lori. She became a Nonna for the first time on Mother’s Day, a moment that brought her immeasurable happiness. Just weeks later, she and her husband, Patrick, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on May 31st — a milestone that reflected a lifetime of love, partnership, and devotion. Lori dedicated her career to caring for others. She worked alongside Dr. Hurt and Dr. Mathew for many years, where her compassion and steady presence made her an invaluable part of their practices. She also supported the family business, contributing her time and talents wherever they were needed. She found joy in the simple pleasures—gardening in the sunshine, indulging in a bit of retail therapy, and tending to the home and family she loved so deeply. Lori especially enjoyed cooking for those she cared about, spending long peaceful hours on the beach, and making memories while camping with family and friends. Above all, Lori’s greatest happiness came from caring for the people she loved. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion will be forever cherished by those whose lives she brightened. Survivors include her husband, Patrick Kelleher; sons, Michael (fiancée Stephanie Yurt) Kelleher and Ryan (Samantha) Kelleher; grandson, Joseph; sister, Debbie Lindner; brother, James Matis; mother-in-law, Charlotte Kelleher; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Matis II and Diana Matis; and her father-in-law, John “Jack” Kelleher. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral Mass to honor Lori’s life will be held at 12 noon on Friday, June 12, 2026, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060 (please meet at the church). Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in the form of donations to either the American Cancer Society or the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
