Mary A. (Allen) Rowe

Mary A. (Allen) Rowe, age 87, of Mentor, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights. She was born March 17, 1935 in Olean, NY. A woman of unwavering faith, Mary was a longtime active member of St. Gabriel Parish and a dedicated participant in multiple prayer groups. She cherished her family and many friends-- impacting all with her youthful spirit and loyal support. Along with her husband, Jim, Mary lived the joy of a successful marriage, setting an example for her children, extended family, and the many friends who were welcomed to their home. She brought people together in times of celebration and was the first to offer help when needed. Mary enjoyed gardening, going to the theater, playing bridge, hiking at the Holden Arboretum, and sunset walks at the beach. She was proud of her Irish heritage and loved sharing a birthday with St. Patrick. Throughout her journey, Mary inspired many as she demonstrated strength and grace in the face of her health struggles. A Choir of Angels now welcomes Mary into her next life. Surviving Mary are her husband of 63 years: James L. Rowe; sons: Bryan (Juliann) Rowe and Kevin (Mary) Rowe; grandchildren: Collin (Megan) Rowe, Morgan (Eric) Egan, Gillian and Tyler Rowe, Stephanie and Christin Passarello; great-grandson: Liam; siblings: Kathleen (Russ) Peace and Daniel (Phyllis) Allen. Preceding Mary in death are her parents: James and Violet Allen, brothers: James and William (Polly) Allen The family will receive friends 4:00 – 6:00 pm Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor, OH. 44060. Funeral mass will be 12:00 pm Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at St. Gabriel Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd. Concord, OH. 44060. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
