Myrna Loy (Faux) Iorio

Myrna Loy (Faux) Iorio, lovingly known as “Lola,” age 78, of Mentor, Ohio, passed away on December 29, 2025, at her residence. She was born on September 8, 1947, in Zambales, Philippines. Myrna moved to the United States at the age of 16, settling in Peoria, Illinois, where she completed high school. In 1972, she married her husband, Frank T. Iorio, and together they built a life centered on family, friendship, and joy. Early in their marriage, they lived in Grand Forks, North Dakota, during Frank’s career in the U.S. Air Force, before returning to Ohio, which became home for most of their lives. One of Myrna’s most cherished chapters was living abroad in England, where the family of four traveled at every opportunity, creating memories and friendships she held close throughout her life. Travel with family and friends remained one of her greatest joys. Known for her lighthearted spirit and infectious laugh, Myrna had a remarkable ability to put people instantly at ease. Independent, spontaneous, and generous, she had a gift for connecting with others - often turning chance encounters into lifelong friendships. She loved music and was always singing or humming, laughed at funny movies as if she were seeing them for the first time, and found simple joy in basking in the sunshine, cooking new recipes, or tending to plants and flowers. Above all else, Myrna valued her family. As “Lola,” she embodied warmth, devotion, and love, and was immensely proud of her grandchildren, serving as their most enthusiastic cheerleader. A strong proponent of education, she instilled in her children the values of hard work and striving to excel, always putting family first. Myrna is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Todd) Leombruno; her son, Brian (Sarah) Iorio; her beloved grandchildren, Max and Alex Leombruno; and her companion, David Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Lourdes Faux; her husband, Frank T. Iorio; and her cherished granddaughter, Maria L. Iorio. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, Ohio 44060. Please meet at the church.
