Norman John Krieger

Norman John Krieger, beloved husband of Carolyn (Krukowski), son of Michael and Agnes Krieger (both deceased), brother of Christine (deceased) and Kathy Krieger Caja passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at the age of 84. Norm was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a dedicated family man. Norm was a hometown sports fan who lived a full life defined by discipline, devotion, and deep love for his family. A skilled electrical engineer, Norm was known for his unwavering work ethic and sharp mind. He took pride in his profession and brought a quiet determination to everything he did. Norm loved the rhythm of a well-kept life. He found joy in the simplicity of his daily routines - from early morning walks to mowing a perfectly straight lawn. He had a passion for golf and had two hole-in-ones - one of them on Thanksgiving Day. These quiet rituals reflected his steady and thoughtful nature. For over 63 years, Norm was devoted to his wife, Carolyn, his best friend and partner. Together, they raised four children: Sue Walland (Mark), John (Ingolf Rusch), Robert (Celece) and Lisa Davis (Grant) - and built a warm and loving home filled with laughter, memories, and unconditional support. His legacy continues through his nine grandchildren: Scott, Andrew (Kelly), Mark (Jennifer), Jacob, Jaret (Audrey) Walland, Ellen Krieger Correia (Jay), Kirby, Quinn and Trey Davis and three great-grandchildren: Scarlett, Nora and Vienna Walland - all of whom he cherished deeply. Norm had a great appreciation for life’s pleasures - he loved a cold beer, a juicy steak, a good cruise, and any opportunity to be surrounded by those he loved most. His gentle strength, quiet humor, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His was a life well lived, rooted in love, discipline, and joy. He leaves behind a grateful family and a world made better by his presence. A celebration of Norm’s life will be held on Sunday, June 22, from 2–5 p.m. at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A Mass in Norm’s honor will be held at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060 on Monday, June 23, at 10 a.m., with a luncheon immediately following at the church.
