Patricia A. “Patti” (Myernik) Cilenti Picciano, 74 of Mentor, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026, at home. She was born on October 28, 1951, in Cleveland. Mrs. Picciano flourished in her illustrious career as a Project Consultant for organizations such as Cleveland Cliffs, Progressive, Marconi Corporation, Eaton Corporation and Phillips. Patti will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and welcoming spirit, but most of all for the happiness she carried and shared so freely. She was a truly happy person, and she wanted nothing more than for the people fortunate enough to be around her to feel that same joy. She had a gift for making people feel at home. Patti was an amazing host and a brilliant cook, and her kitchen table was one of the places where her love was most clearly felt. There was always room for another chair, another plate, another glass of wine, another story, and another round of laughter. Providing for her family and friends was both a point of pride and a source of purpose for her. Patti also had a beautiful eye for the things that make a home feel warm and lived in. She collected antiques and filled her home with character, comfort, and care. She had a green thumb and loved her plants almost as much as her family, tending to them with the same patience and tenderness she brought to the people she loved. She loved to travel and share stories about the places she visited. She loved music, going to concerts, good conversations, and the simple pleasures that made life feel full. Among the things Patti loved most was the sound of rain. She found joy in summer storms, especially beneath the patio canopy beside her beloved husband, Al. Those quiet moments together, listening to the rain and watching the storm roll through, reflected something central to who she was: her ability to find beauty, peace, and happiness in life’s simplest gifts. Above all, Patti loved Al, and the happiness they shared together was one of the great joys of her life. Survivors include her husband: Liberato “Al” Picciano; children: Robert (Tina) Cilenti Jr., Alessio “Laz” (Paige) Picciano and Vincenzo “Chenz” (Amber Titera) Picciano; grandchildren: Alexis (Thomas) Winegord, Robert Cilenti III, Jovie Picciano and Marisa Naomi Haro and great-grandchild: Audrina Leeann. Preceding Patricia in death are her parents: Stephan and Erma (Fargo) Myernik, siblings: Kathryn (Chester) Zielinski, Stephen Myernik and Stephanie “Tessie” Myernik. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, Ohio 44060. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 11, 2026, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, OH.
