Patricia Ann Luck

Patricia Ann Luck, 79, of Kirtland, passed away November 14, 2024 at Kirtland Woods, Kirtland, Ohio. She was born March 11, 1945 in Eastlake, Ohio to the late Donald and Jeannette Tewksbury. Patricia fulfilled her dream of graduating from Huron Road Nursing School and eventually became the head nurse of the emergency department at Richmond Heights General Hospital. She moved to Geauga Hospital, where she was a nurse on the second floor of East building until her retirement. Beyond nursing, Pat was known to be a shutterbug and the creator of multiple photo albums from special occasions and events. Her hobby progressed from photography to quilt making. She made sure to seek out quilt shops whenever she traveled with her husband and dear friends, Dave and Vicki Craig, and her sister-in-law, Carol. She always sought that special and unique pattern to personalize each quilt she made for the recipient. Pat was passionate about family. As her boys, Matt and Jeff, progressed through school, classmates and teammates became extensions of the family. She hosted multiple team meals and always welcomed everyone into her home. She loved supporting the Kirtland girls’ basketball teams that were dominant in the early 1980s. Pat especially loved her property in Kirtland, because it gave her the opportunity to show her love of all animals. She was an avid horse owner, a love which she gained from her best friend, Jan Webster. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jack Luck; sons, Matt Luck and Jeff (Jae) Luck; grandchildren, Carolyn (David) Fink, Michala Luck, Jonathan Luck, Jackson Luck, Caitlin (Alex) DiFranco and Jennifer Luck; siblings, Chris Tewksbury, Janene (Jay) Case, Lee Tewksbury and Tonya and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. Preceding Patricia in death are her sisters, Donna (Larry) Swietlik and Karen (Bill) Lamb. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio 44060. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 22, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Kirtland South Cemetery.
