Rona W. Mitrovich

Rona W. Mitrovich, 90, of Mentor, Ohio, passed away on December 3, 2025, at University Hospitals Lake West Medical Center. She was born on July 20, 1935, in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Rona was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, sister, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She lived her life with grace, curiosity, and an unwavering commitment to her family. Rona was a devoted volunteer at Mentor Methodist Church, where she generously gave her time and service. She was an adventurous spirit at heart, Rona’s passions included playing tennis and flying airplanes. She found her greatest joy in watching her grandsons grow up and took immense pride in being the best mother and grandmother she could be. Rona embraced life fully, always eager for new experiences and meaningful moments with those she loved. She and her husband, Steve, shared a remarkable love for adventure, including personal flights together, most notably journeys to Alaska, just the two of them. New adventures were something she embraced wholeheartedly. Rona was also proud to represent her husband’s legacy and life’s work through Ametco Manufacturing Corporation, his metal manufacturing company that was a source of great pride for our family. Rona is survived by her grandsons, Tom and Ryan Mitrovich; her sisters, Ruth Ann (Leon) Godsave and Mary (Mike) Gartland; and her brother, Richard White. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve Mitrovich; her parents, Leon and Anna White; her son, Greg Mitrovich; and her eldest brother, Ray White. A celebration of Rona’s life will be held on January 31, 2026, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Mentor Harbor Yachting Club, 5330 Coronada Drive, Mentor-on-the-Lake, Ohio 44060. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, Ohio 44060. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Rona’s memory to the Mentor Harbor Youth Sailing Association (MHYSA). Rona W. Mitrovich will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, endless love, and the lasting impact she made on her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
