Sharon Marie Rhoads-Kozar

Sharon Marie Rhoads-Kozar, age 58 of Mentor, OH, passed into Heaven on November 14, 2022, at the University Hospitals TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp, OH. She was born on February 26, 1964, in Doylestown, PA. She attended Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA, then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and further became a Certified Financial Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA). She was kind, caring, loving, and faithful to family & friends, as well as perceptive and sensitive, creative and refined. Her generosity was remarkable and her sympathy for and love of animals was her passion. Time shall not diminish the loss of such a beautiful, extraordinary woman. Sharon-Marie was a highly accomplished Financial Executive in the corporate world. She started her Finance career at Wolter Kluwer, NV Health Division, Philadelphia, PA as Director of Financial Reporting & Budgeting & Program Management Office. She then moved on to Medimedia USA, Inc – Consumer Health Division in Yardley, PA as VP, of Financial and Management Reporting. Finally, she ended her career at Vetstreet, Inc., in Yardley, PA, as Chief Financial Officer/Controller, which was an excellent send off to pursue her passion of starting and running a Farm Animal Sanctuary, which she and her husband did, buying a 25-acre Farm in Mentor, OH which she loved with all of her heart, and where she will come to rest. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Bradley Kozar, and his sons; her mother, Margaret Rhoads, brother Mark Rhoads, two maternal aunts, an uncle and several cousins; mother-in-law, Lorene Kozar; brothers-in-law and wives, a sister-in-law, and their sons and daughters. She was preceded in death by her father, J. David Rhoads; father-in-law, Kenneth Kozar; and two brothers-in-law. A private ceremony for family and friends will be led by Father Ed Estok, followed by a celebration of Sharon-Marie’s life onsite at her Animal Rescue in Ohio at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Sharon-Marie requested Donations to what was most near and dear to her heart, which can be made in her memory to, “Little Mountain Animal Sanctuary, Inc.” at PO Box 375, 150 Center St, Chardon, OH, 44024, a Nonprofit Organization, or to an Animal Charity of your choice. There will be an electronic option to Donate that will be sent out at the time of announcing the Celebration of Life.
